Family and Community Education clubs are located throughout our community. We have a total of 5 clubs that have different meeting times. These clubs focus on community service and work together on a variety of projects and events.

Cumberland County FCE
- Mountain Homemakers FCE – Meet on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, 10:00 am – Country Store/Community Complex.
- Oak Hill FCE – Meet on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, 12:00 noon – Country Store/Community Complex.
- Taylors Chapel FCE – Meet on the 2nd Friday of the month, 10:00 am, Country Store/Community Complex.
- Lake Tansi FCE – Meet on the 3rd Thursday of the month, 9:30 am, Lake Tansi Thunderbird.
- Dorton FCE – Meet on the 3rd Thursday of the month, 5:30 pm, Country Store/Community Complex.
County Council Meetings
Family and Community Education (FCE) County Council meetings bring together members from across Cumberland County to share ideas, plan activities, support community service projects, and stay informed about upcoming events and opportunities. These meetings provide a chance for members to connect, learn new information, and help guide the county FCE program. All FCE members are encouraged to attend and participate in the fellowship, leadership, and educational opportunities offered through County Council. FCE Cultural Arts
Entry Day: July 24th, 10-2 at the Thunderbird
Luncheon: July 25th, 11 am at the Thunderbird
The FCE Cultural Arts Program encourages members to explore and showcase their talents through a variety of creative and handcrafted projects. Participants may enter items in categories such as quilting, sewing, knitting, crochet, basketry, home décor, photography, fine arts, and more. The program celebrates creativity, preserves traditional skills, and provides opportunities for learning, personal growth, and friendly competition. Entries may advance from county and regional levels to state competition, where members can share their work and be recognized for their accomplishments.
